Hi Linda, there is a great deal of research backing the use of Echinacea not just for avoiding respiratory tract infections, but also for avoiding secondary bacterial infections that often plague those with weak chests. It would also be useful to ensure you have a good, steady intake of vitamin C throughout the winter months, as this supports healthy lung tissue. Other nutrients that can be supportive are vitamin D (your doctor can check your blood levels to see if you are deficient), and zinc. Green, leafy vegetables, nuts and seeds, eggs and dark red/ purple-skinned fruit and veg are excellent sources of the nutrients that will help you to a healthy winter.

Hi Emma, I am 48 years old and I have lost my hair at the top of my head. Is this caused by the menopause?I am not on any medication apart from menopause support and calcium.

Hi Vicky, did this happen whilst you were exercising? Depending on how much activity you were doing at the time it could be related to this or it could have been the result of anxiety or a panic attack. If you experience repeat episodes we would recommend you go to your doctor so they can help you identify what might be going on.

Hi Suman, I would recommend you start to keep a food diary. We want to try and determine if this bloating only occurs after certain types of foods (in which case it might be a food intolerance), or if something else is at play. If you are constipated we would recommend you take some Linoforce alongside plenty of water to try and encourage your bowels to start moving. Going forward, plenty of fresh foods and sources of fibre should be included in your diet to help support your digestive system.

Hi Lesa, hair loss can occur for a number of reasons. I wonder if you could contact me directly at emmaross@avogel.co.uk to give me a little more information, for example what operations you have underwent and if you are on any medication.
