I am 53 years old and I've been on a Mirena Coil for a number of years now. I haven't had a period since I started on the Coil and I can't say that I've felt any other menstrual type symptoms in this time either. I am happy in my life although I have a lot of things to deal with, however, I seem to be getting into a pattern of being quite stressed and I have been drinking rather too much in the past year. It suddenly occurred to me that it could be the menopause that is causing this anxiety. I really have no reason to behave in this way. When my mum went through her menopause, her bevaiour became a bit erratic until she went on HRT.
