What is Hyperiforce St John's wort tablets
Hyperiforce St. John's wort tablets contain the extract of hypericum obtained from freshly harvested, organically grown herbs.
1 tablet contains 40-73mg of extract (as dry extract) from fresh St John's wort (Hypericum perforatum L.) flowering herb (3.1-4.0:1). Extraction solvent: ethanol 68% V/V.
Other ingredients used for the tablet are microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, soya polysaccharide and hydrogenated cottonseed oil. Hyperiforce St. John's wort is free from genetically modified ingredients.
Dosage of Hyperiforce St. John's wort tablets.
Hyperiforce may be used by adults (over 18 years of age) and the elderly
Dosage: Take 1 tablet 2 to 3 times day.
Hyperiforce St. John's wort is for oral use only. Do not take more than the recommended dosage. Taking too much is unlikely to be harmful.

Like all St. John's wort products, Hyperiforce may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Side effects of Hyperiforce St. John's wort tablets are likely to affect less than 1 in every 1,000 people and may take the form of digestive symptoms (sickness, nausea, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, constipation, loss of appetite) as well as skin reactions (itching, skin rash and urticaria).

No, Like other products containing St. John's wort, Hyperiforce may interfere with the action of the Pill and other hormone-based contraceptives, such as Depo-Provera.
5. How long can I take Hypericum extracts for?
Hyperiforce can be taken for as long as you feel it to be necessary, provided that you stick to the recommended dosage. Speak to your doctor if you do not feel the benefit of taking St. John's wort extracts, or if your symptoms are worsen.
6. Will I notice any side effects from taking Hyperiforce St. John's wort?
Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Side effects of St. John's wort extracts may include minor digestive symptoms and skin reactions. These are only found occasionally (in less than 1 in every 1,000 people) and usually resolve after a short period of time.

St. John's wort (Hypericum) - an A.Vogel fresh herb story
In the early 1990s increased use of St. John's wort extracts to treat anxiety and low mood led to an increase in demand for raw Hypericum plant material. Sustainable wild harvesting became increasingly difficult to maintain whilst cultivated stocks of St. John's wort were difficult to obtain.
Furthermore, as Alfred Vogel's principles required the use of freshly harvested organically-grown plants, the use of dried St. John's wort was out of the question. So began the task of developing a sustainable, organically grown crop for A.Vogel's St. John's wort products.
Four years of research work ensued - investigating all aspects of cultivation from the seeds to conditions at harvest. One variety of St. John's wort stood out from the rest - with strong growth, ease of cultivation, resistance to disease and high levels of active plant compounds.
It is this variety of St. John's wort that is now cultivated by A.Vogel and its contract farmers, giving us a sustainable supply of St. John's wort plants of the highest quality for Hyperiforce St. John's wort tablets and our other St. John's wort products.
