Hotting Up

As the weather improves and temperatures rise, our souls rejoice and we hurry towards places where the shiny yellow orb in the sky can beam down fondly upon us. Whilst its rays caress our skin, we hope fervently that its heat doesn’t cause us to perspire in a manner not conducive to sociability. Thus the daily dousing with deodorants becomes of key importance.

The thing is that sweatingis, to a certain extent, good for one. How else is the skin to excrete the toxins that burden it? A certain amount of judicious evaporation is to be desired, but preferably without a pong.

Salt of the Earth deodorants are able to protect you effectively and invisibly, without employing any unpleasant chemicals that you don’t wish to slather onto your skin.

These crystal deodorants work by leaving a thin layer of pure alum, a traditional antibacterial mineral salt, on your skin, inhibiting the growth of bacteria that causes body odour.

Alum has been used for many years as a deodorant, in the Far and Middle East particularly. Salt of the Earth deodorants are made from crystallised alum, which is a naturally mined mineral salt.

Many people get confused about Alum because they are aware that man-made forms of aluminium such as aluminium chlorohydrate are associated with some health issues when present in deodorants. Alum should not be confused with aluminium; it has a long history of safe use as a deodorant ingredient and is a traditional alternative to many modern deodorants. What’s more, it won’t clog up your pores and prevent the release of toxins, but will ensure that you don’t smell bad in the midst of your healthy glow. It’s odourless itself, suitable for both sexes, doesn’t leave any marks on clothes, and is completely vegan. Oh, and there’s a tiny travel size tube of the natural deodorant spray that lasts two weeks – ideal for holidays.

Bring on the heat!
